How far can I go on a single charge? The range is approximately 15 miles when measured in the following conditions: a weight range between 130 - 175 lbs, 75ºF of temperature, flat road without strong winds, energy saving mode and constant speed of 10 mph. The results may vary according to different loads, temperatures, wind speed, and usage habits. Stop-and-go city riding can reduce the range of the battery, especially when operating at top speeds most of the time. Expect the realistic range to be closer to 8-10 miles in scenarios like this.

Are electric scooters legal? The short answer is it depends. Most states permit the use of electric scooters on public roads with bike lanes, but you should check with your local Department of Transportation as it can be city specific. In states like California, the use of electric scooters is legal permitting a max speed of 15 mph. It's important to note that the Levy Electric Scooter is capable of speeds above this limit, so you should be careful to change driving modes when operating based on local laws. Shared scooters operated by companies like Bird, Lime Bike, etc automatically control the speed of their scooters to account for this. Some cities have legislation pending to legalize the use of electric scooters, like NYC. In districts such as these the use of scooters isn't yet permitted, but often isn't strictly enforced. That being said, you should check the current state of regulations before purchasing to make sure you aren't putting yourself at risk to be ticketed. In general, operating on sidewalks is prohibited. For the safety of yourself and others around you, operating only in bike lanes or on public streets with a speed limit below 25 mph is recommended.
-
What are the braking mechanisms? The scooter has 3 braking mechnisms. An E-ABS regenerative electronic brake in the front wheel, a mechanical disk brake on the rear wheel, and a pedal brake on the rear wheel that can be activated by stepping on the wheel fender.

My tire is punctured / flatIf you get a flat, the easiest thing to do is use Tire Slime to seal the tire and find an air compressor to re-inflate. Because these are tubeless tires, the air compressor should be capabable of delivering at least 120 PSI to ensure a proper seal can be set. After tire is seated correctly on the rim - ensure the pressure does not exceed 50 PSI before riding. If the puncture is too large where Tire Slime cannot seal it - please reach out to us and we will send you a replacement tire. Reccomended products: TIre Slime, Valve Extender
-
Do you have spare parts in stock?Yes - if you accidentally damage a part of your Levy scooter and need a replacement part please email us: support@levyelectric.com
-
What international certifications apply to this product? Our scooters are CE, FCC, and RoHS certified.
-
What PSI should I keep the tire inflated at?We recommend tires are inflated at 50 PSI, and never exceed 60 PSI. To inflate the front tire, a schrader valve extender might be necessary depending on the pump you are using. https://www.amazon.com/Slime-2045-Metal-Valve-Extenders/dp/B003V9TC10/ref=sr_1_6?keywords=tire+valve+extender&qid=1561120345&s=gateway&sr=8-6
-
Can the Levy handle hills / inclines?Yes, but the max speed will likely be reduced depending on rider weight. We recommend not attempting to ride long distances above a 5% grade, and to avoid anything above a 10% grade to prevent damage to the motor.
-
Do the tires come inflated?Yes - but you may need to add more air uppon arrival. A standard bike pump will do the trick. For best results, inflate to 50 PSI, and be sure to never inflate over 60 PSI.
